How we use your information
Barclays Africa Group Holdings Ltd and/or any of its subsidiaries (including Absa), will use your details, including sensitive information, for the purpose of processing your application for employment. We will undertake on-line candidate or face to face selection assessments, people screening vetting including, but not limited to, credit references and criminal record checks, address and identification verification, academic qualifications verification and employer references. We will also check your details against fraud and/or dishonesty databases and if you have submitted fraudulent information in your application we reserve the right to record this information on the database. This information will be available to other organisations, including law enforcement agencies.
If you are unsuccessful in your application, Barclays may retain your information in our Talent pool for a period of twelve months (24 months for South Africa), except if there is any objection from you.
We may share your information with third parties or other Barclays entities within the group, who will process the information solely under Barclays Africa Group Holdings Ltd and/or any of its subsidiaries (including Absa) instructions, for the above purposes. Please be aware that your information may be transferred to Barclays Africa Group Holdings Ltd and/or any of its subsidiaries (including Absa) offices and/or offices within the Barclays Africa Group and/or cross-border to offices in the Barclays Group or third parties worldwide for the purpose of meeting our national and international recruitment needs and to prevent fraud.
